Business Challenge

The BFSI firm needed to digitize its services to provide online and mobile access, but its legacy architecture lacked scalability and agility. The existing system was unable to support frequent releases of new applications or features, and there were concerns about ensuring high availability, security, and scalability without incurring downtime during or after digitalization. The company sought a modern, distributed system to handle high transaction volumes with improved performance and security.

Solution

Kaara re-architected the company's Java applications into microservices, hosted in AWS EC2, to increase flexibility and scalability. The team developed a mobile-friendly front-end UI and deployed Kafka nodes on AWS EKS clusters to handle high-velocity customer transactions. DevSecOps pipelines, built in Jenkins, automated the deployment process while enhancing security. Kaara also implemented role-based access controls (RBAC) to improve the security posture of the Kubernetes clusters in the AWS environment.

Benefits

The BFSI company now delivers applications and new features faster, with real-time responses to customer needs across multiple channels. The adoption of microservices architecture enabled greater agility and scalability, while Kafka ensured seamless handling of high transaction volumes. Kaara’s security enhancements, including RBAC, ensured robust access management and data protection within the AWS environment, facilitating a secure and reliable digital platform.
